Chanting Revolution, Vive la Nation!
En 1972, le tout jeune groupe de rock progressif Curved Air sort son troisième Album, Phantasmagoria. Un des morceaux est consacré à l'histoire de notre reine, sous le titre on ne peut plus évocateur de Marie Antoinette.
Ensuite, effet révolution? Les deux anciens étudiants du Royal College of Music qui avaient fondé le groupe, Darryl Way (violon) et Francis Monkman (claviers et guitare) se séparent.
Mais cela est une autre histoire... Revenons à la chanson qui nous intéresse. En voici une version studio:

Enfant des années 70, j'aime beaucoup les envolées du rock progressif. J'apprécie aussi la dichotomie entre l'univers poudré de la reine et les revendications populaires, qui me permet, quand je pousse la chansonnette, de laisser s'exprimer tour à tout mon amour pour Marie Antoinette et mon esprit révolutionnaire.
